Encountering The Journey

What might I, a westerner, expect to experience from adventuring in Northeast India, the land of the Himalayas, tribal villages, rice growers and tea plantations, where Indians and people of Burmese and Tibetan descent reside in villages and towns. Across language and cultural boundaries, it is the people I connect with in momentary and intimate encounters. With my camera I capture their expressions and gestures. The meditative portraits that emerged are collected in the book Encountering the Journey.
